Welcome to MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition – the MIPIM online community.
MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition helps you identify and get in touch with the key contacts who will be most useful to your business. You can also use it to create a personal conference schedule.
This tutorial sets out a simple, step-by-step guide to making the most of MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition.
Learn how to:
- Identify and attract the right contacts by adapting your personal and/or company profile
- Get maximum exposure for your products by adding photos to your product profiles
- Build up a personalized network of contacts
- Find peers and potential partners using the search tool
- Create your own personal conference and event schedule
- Contact and be contacted using your MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition Mailbox. You can keep your personal email address private if you prefer.
To generate maximum networking opportunities, you can continue to access MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition until one year until october 2009.
Minimum system requirements for MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition
The minimum system requirements for MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition are as follows:
Your computer will need a 56K or higher modem with an Internet connection.
You must have a valid e-mail address.

LOGGING IN
To start using MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition, go to the top right corner of www.mipimhorizons.com.
Enter your Personal Login in the field marked ‘PersonalLogin’ and your Password.
Your Personal Login and Password will have been sent to you by email following registration. If you have lost your login details, please select the "forgot password" option.
As soon as you have correctly enter your Personal Login and Password, you must scroll to end of text to be able to choose “agree” or “don’t agree”, then click "Validate"

COMPANY PROFILE
Generate an effective network of contacts and related opportunities for your business by creating a Company Profile.
In the ‘My Company Profile Update’ form you can change your company information, upload a new logo, or choose a new main contact for MIPIM.
The more accurately you specify your objectives and interests, the more effective MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition will be at finding potential contacts suited to you and your business.

Real Estate Product
Ensure that your time at MAPIC is as productive as possible by using your Real Estate Product profiles to:
To showcase your products, simply complete the relevant profile with a short description. You can create up to 3 product profiles. For each Real Estate product, you can upload one image.
Go to ‘My MIPIM ’ and click on ‘My Company’ in the left-hand navigation menu.
Click on ‘Add a Real Estate Product’ or ‘Add a Hotel & Tourism Real Estate Product’ or ‘Add Other Real Estate Product’ or ‘Add Funds' in the middle of the page to go to the Real Estate Product Profile Update page.
- give maximum exposure to your product profile by using a images
- Image files should not exceed 250x250 pixels, 50 Ko and 72 Dpi (JPEG or GIF format files).
- generate interest from other MIPIM Asia participants
To showcase your products, simply complete the relevant profile with a short description. You can create up to 3 product profiles. For each Real Estate product, you can upload one image.
Go to ‘My MIPIM ’ and click on ‘My Company’ in the left-hand navigation menu.

SEARCH
Use the MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition Search Engine to find full participant, company and Real Estate Product Profiles, including the contact details and interests of other attendees.
Click on ‘Search’ in the left-hand navigation menu to go to the search box.
The basic search allows you to search by:

A Real Estate Productssearch allows you to search for Real Estate Product by:
Once you have a search box open, you can navigate between Basic, Advanced and Catalogues & Services searches by selecting the tabs at the top of the search box.

A Real Estate Productssearch allows you to search for Real Estate Product by:
- Global Project Mixed
- Project Type
- Location
- Country
- Keyword
Once you have a search box open, you can navigate between Basic, Advanced and Catalogues & Services searches by selecting the tabs at the top of the search box.
Once you’ve filled in the search term fields, click ‘search’. A results box will appear:
My Selections
Bookmark company, participant and retail real estate products as you go through your search results to create your own shortlist. Your bookmarks are displayed automatically on your homepage so you can see your shortlist at a glance. You can also access your bookmarked pages by going to My MIPIM > My Selections.
SAVE SEARCH
You can save all your search results at any time. You just have to click the bottom button in the results pages like below: the saved search results will be automaticly displayed in "Your Selections" and on the Home Page.
PERSONAL AGENDA
Create your own personalized agenda for the 3-day MIPIM Horizons by selecting conferences and events. You can review your schedule at a glance by clicking on My MIPIM > My Schedule. You can then print or download it into your MS Outlook calendar.
• To see a list of events and add them to your schedule, click on ‘Conferences and Events’ to the left of the homepage.
• Then search conference sessions by date, Activity, Theme, format, speaker and/or keyword.
• To see a list of all conference sessions, click on ‘View all’ without selecting any search criteria.
Add a conference to your schedule:
• Clicking on ‘View all’ or ‘Search’ will bring you to a results page.
• Click on the arrows beside the ‘Date’, ‘Title’ or ‘Theme’ headings to change the order of the results.
• Click on a conference session title for more details.
• To add a session to your personal schedule, click on the relevant box in the ‘Add’ column.
• To see a list of events and add them to your schedule, click on ‘Conferences and Events’ to the left of the homepage.
• Then search conference sessions by date, Activity, Theme, format, speaker and/or keyword.
• To see a list of all conference sessions, click on ‘View all’ without selecting any search criteria.
Add a conference to your schedule:
• Clicking on ‘View all’ or ‘Search’ will bring you to a results page.
• Click on the arrows beside the ‘Date’, ‘Title’ or ‘Theme’ headings to change the order of the results.
• Click on a conference session title for more details.
• To add a session to your personal schedule, click on the relevant box in the ‘Add’ column.
Click on the download icon to download a session or event to your Outlook calendar.
A red exclamation mark means the timing of this event conflicts with another one in your MIPIM schedule.
MAILBOX
The MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition Mailbox allows you to exchange messages with other MIPIM Asia participants without showing your e-mail address.
To compose a message, click on ‘Mailbox’ and then select ‘compose message’ in the left-hand navigation menu:
USER TIPS
You can attach files of up to 2Mb to your messages and have copies of your MIPIMWorld Horizons Edition Mailbox messages sent to your usual email address.
If you find it more practical, you can choose to display your professional email address on your personal profile page and receive incoming mail directly to your usual email address. To do this, just change your settings in My Profile > Update Profile.
To compose a message, click on ‘Mailbox’ and then select ‘compose message’ in the left-hand navigation menu:
