Welcome to the MIPTV Online Delegate Database
The MIPTV Online Delegate Database helps you identify key contacts, present programmes and services, and get in touch with the people most useful to your business. You can also use it to plan your market conference schedule.
This tutorial sets out a simple, step-by-step guide to making the most of the MIPTV Online Delegate Database.
Learn how to:
- identify and attract the right contacts by optimising your personal and/or company profile;
- get maximum exposure for your products by adding photo, video;
- find peers and potential partners using the search tool;
- identify newly-registered potential contacts;
- create your own personal conference schedule;
- contact and be contacted using your MIPTV Online Community Mailbox. You can keep your personal email address private if you prefer.
Minimum system requirements:
The minimum system requirements for MIPTV Online Community are as follows:
- Your computer will need a 56K or higher modem with an Internet connection.
- You must have a valid e-mail address.
- Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4); Windows XP (Service Pack 2):
• Internet Explorer 7.0 or later
• Firefox 2.0 or later - Minimum Mac® OS X 10.3.9 or later:
• Firefox 1.0.7 or later
• Safari 1.3 or later
• Mozilla 1.7.12 or later
To generate a maximum of networking opportunities, you can access MIPTV Delegate Database both before and after the market.
Login
Access via http://www.mipworld.com/en/online-community/
Access the MIPTV Online Delegate Database via the MIPWorld portal by clicking on the Online Community tab.
Select your Show via the drop down menu and then enter your Personal Login and Password in the appropriate fields. Your Personal Login and Password should have been sent to you via email following registration. If you have lost or not received your login details, please click on "Forgot Personal Login or Password", or contact the registration department.

My MIPTV
Dashboard / Search
Run a participant, company, programme or services search right from your My MIPTV Home Page. Activitiy, programme genre, country and registrant type search fields enable you to narrow your search to find the participants and companies most pertinent to your business. Click on Search to be taken through to your results.
You can also scroll down to "Participants by main activity at the market", where a simple click will show you all results under a particular activity.
Bookmarks, Searches, Schedule: an at-a-glance look at your number of bookmarks, saved searches, and conference schedule. Click on these links to see more detailed information.

Matchmaking suggestions
Use the MIPTV Online Delegate Database matchmaking tool to contact and be contacted by your key business targets.
The database will automatically identify the right contacts for you to meet as well as identifying you as a potential contact to other participants.

My personal profile
My Profile shows you your profile as it appears to other users of the Online Delegate Database. Clicking on the "Edit my personal profile" link in the right-hand column will allow you to make changes to your information.

My Company shows you your company profile as it appears to other users of the Online Delegate Database. Clicking on the "Edit my company profile" link in the right-hand column will allow you to make changes to your information.
My schedule
Create your own personalised agenda for the MIPTV 2010 by selecting conferences and events. You can review your schedule at a glance by clicking on My MIPTV > My schedule. You can then print or download it into your MS Outlook calendar.

Search
Use the MIPTV Online Community Search Engine to find full participant, company, programme and services profiles, including the contact details and interests of other attendees.
You have access to four search engines which allow you to search by:

Once you've filled in the search term fields, click "search" to view the results.
Once your results appear, there are 6 actions that you can take:

- New Search: click to run a new search
- Modify Search: click to modify your search from your original criteria
- Save Search: save your search criteria for easy re-use; saved searches appear in My Bookmarks>Saved Searches

- When you select 1 or more search results by checking the check box, the "Bookmark" and "Send Message" buttons become clickable
- Select "All" or "Current page" to select multiple results at once, and "none" to clear the checked boxes.
NOTE: You cannot send a message to or bookmark more than 200 results at a time.

When you click on a search result, its profile is shown. This example is a company profile from a company search.
You can forward bookmarked pages by clicking on "forward profile". This will take you to the "Compose Message" page with a link to the bookmarked profile in the new message.

Save Search
Save your search criteria to get faster access to information each time you use MIPTV Online Community.
The Save Search function stores your search terms for you, so that you can quickly and easily repeat the same search in the future. This enables you to identify useful contacts newly-arrived on MIPTV Online Community since last year’s market, or since your last search.

When you’ve performed a search and have a results box for search terms that you want to keep for future use, click on "Save search".
- Click on "Save search"
- A pop-up box will appear
- Enter a title for your search and click "OK" to save
- You can then carry on creating new searches using different search terms
My bookmarks
Bookmark a company, a participant or a product profiles as you go through your search results and create your own shortlist. You can also save your search criteria to get FAST ACCESS to data each time you use MIPTV Online Community.
Conferences and events
To see a list of events and add them to your schedule, click on "Conferences and Events" in the navigation menu.
• Then search conference sessions by date, theme, format, speaker.
• To see a list of all conference sessions, just click on "Find Sessions" without selecting any search criteria.

• A red exclamation mark means the timing of this event conflicts with another one in your MIPTV schedule.

Inbox /received messages
Your inbox is where you store mail you’ve received from other participants. You can also compose new messages, or select messages to move to the Trash
Compose message
NB: You can send a message to up to 200 recipients at a time.
The MIPTV Online Mailbox system allows you to send and receive messages to and from other MIPTV participants without showing your e-mail address.
To compose a message, click on "Mailbox > Compose" in the navigation menu:
The left-hand box is pre-populated with the names of the participants you have bookmarked.
Highlight the contacts you want to send your message to, then click the "Add" arrow to add them to the list of recipients.
The right-hand box is the recipient field. If you change your mind and decide not to send the message to a particular contact, highlight that person in the recipient box, then click on the "Remove" arrow.
You can send messages to external email addresses by adding them here, but only if a MIPTV Online Community participant is also a recipient.

You can attach files of up to 2Mb to your messages, and have copies of your MIPTV Online Mailbox messages sent to your usual email address.
